Can I add a battery to my existing solar system?
Yes, in most cases. Retrofitting a battery to existing solar is one of the most common jobs we do. We check your current inverter and system first, since some setups need a hybrid or AC-coupled inverter to add storage. We will tell you exactly what your system needs before you commit to anything.
What size battery do I need?
It depends on how much power your home uses after dark, not on a one-size-fits-all number. We look at your generation, your evening usage and whether you want backup, then size the battery to suit. The aim is to store what you will actually use, not to sell you more capacity than your home can draw on.
Will the battery keep my power on during a blackout?
It can, if it is set up for backup. Not every battery or install includes blackout protection by default, so if keeping the essentials running through a storm-season outage matters to you, tell us up front and we will design the system that way.
How much does a solar battery cost?
