Power Points Installation Brisbane
Extra Power Points, Put Exactly Where You Need Them
Most homes were wired for how people lived twenty or thirty years ago, not for a kitchen bench full of appliances or a study with three chargers on the go. Back then a couple of points per room was plenty. Now the kitchen alone runs a kettle, a toaster, an air fryer and a coffee machine, and the home office wants a laptop, two monitors and a phone charger all live at once. If you are running half of that off one tired powerpoint behind a double adaptor, with leads trailing across the bench, you are well overdue for a few more outlets in the spots you actually use.
We are fully licensed for the job (Electrical Contractor Licence 1503699), so the work is done properly and signed off, not bodged by a handyman with a drill. Before we touch a thing you get a fixed, upfront quote, and the number we quote is the number you pay, with no hidden fees. We work out where the power needs to be, then put it there neatly, and every point we fit is backed by a lifetime workmanship guarantee for as long as you own the property.
That is the job we love getting right. New powerpoints, extra outlets, USB and USB-C points so a charger is not hogging a socket, and weatherproof points outside for the BBQ, the shed or the Christmas lights, all fitted neatly and tested before we pack up. It is a small job, but a small job done properly is the difference between a tidy wall and a tangle of leads snaking across the floor. We turn up on time, keep the mess and the wall damage to a minimum, and leave the place as we found it.
Right now there is $89 off power point installs, and we will price the job flat-fee before any work starts.
Sockets Where You Want Them, Fitted Neat and Safe
We add and replace powerpoints right across the home, indoors and out. Whether it is one extra double point beside the bed so the phone is not charging on the floor, a bank of outlets for the home office, or a weatherproof point by the back deck for the BBQ, we run the cable cleanly and finish it flush to the wall.
If you have a powerpoint that is scorched, crackling, loose in the wall or warm to the touch, do not wait on it. That is a sign of a bad connection behind the plate, and it is exactly the sort of small fault that turns into a big one. We will replace it properly, check the circuit it sits on, and leave it safe. Want a straight price before you commit? We will come out and quote it flat-fee.
Our Power Point Services Include
New & Extra Power Points
Adding outlets where your home is short on them, from a single point to a full bench of sockets in the kitchen or office.
USB & USB-C Power Points
Powerpoints with built-in USB and USB-C, so phones and tablets charge straight from the wall without a brick hogging the socket.
Weatherproof Outdoor Points
Sealed, weather-rated outlets for the patio, BBQ, shed or Christmas lights, rated to cope with Brisbane sun and storm-season rain.
Double & Quad Outlets
Swapping a single point for a double or quad so you can ditch the power boards and double adaptors hanging off the wall.
Replacing Scorched Or Loose Sockets
Replacing powerpoints that are discoloured, crackling, loose or warm, and checking the circuit behind them so the fault does not come back.
Appliance & Specialty Points
Dedicated and correctly rated points for ovens, rangehoods, pool pumps, aircon and other appliances that need their own supply.
The Warning Signs A Power Point Needs Replacing
A powerpoint should sit flush, feel cool, and hold a plug firmly. When a plug falls out under its own weight, when the plate is browned or marked, or when you get a faint buzz or a whiff of hot plastic, the connection behind it has started to break down. Left alone, a loose or arcing point is one of the more common causes of electrical fires in the home.
Double adaptors and power boards stacked on a single old outlet are the other red flag. They are a sign the room is under-supplied, not a fix for it. Adding proper points spreads the load the way the wiring is meant to handle, and it gets the cords up off the floor and out of the way. If anything looks or smells off, switch it off at the board and give us a call.
Licensed Hands For Even The Small Jobs
Adding a powerpoint is electrical work, full stop, and it should be done by a licensed sparkie who signs off on it (our electrical contractor licence is 1503699), not a handyman with a drill. We treat the small jobs with the same care as the big ones, tidy up after ourselves, and stand behind the work with our We Fix It or It’s Free* promise and a lifetime workmanship warranty. Right now we are also taking $89 off power point installs, and the number we quote is the number you pay. Happy to talk it through whenever suits, no pressure.

Got A Question About Power Points?
Can you add a power point to any wall?
Almost always, yes. We run a new cable from a nearby circuit to wherever you want the point, and we keep the wall damage to a minimum and patch neatly where we can. The few spots that are tricky are double brick or solid walls, and even then we will find a tidy way to get power there or talk you through the options.
How much does it cost to install a power point?
It depends on how many points you want and how far the cable has to run, so we quote each job flat-fee after a quick look. The quoted number is the number you pay, and right now we are taking $89 off power point installs.
My power point is warm, scorched or buzzing. Is that dangerous?
Treat it as urgent. A warm, browned, crackling or loose powerpoint usually means a bad connection behind the plate, and that is a real fire risk. Switch it off at the board if you can, stop using it, and call us. We will replace it and check the circuit so the fault does not return.
Can you put power points outside for the BBQ and Christmas lights?
Yes. We fit weatherproof, weather-rated outdoor points for the patio, BBQ, shed and seasonal lights, sealed to handle Brisbane sun and storm season. It saves running leads out through a window and keeps the outdoor setup safe and tidy.
Which areas around Brisbane do you install power points in?
We cover Brisbane and the surrounding regions, seven days a week, from Capalaba on the bayside east up to Redcliffe in the north and most postcodes in between. If you are not sure whether your street is in our patch, give us a call and we will let you know on the spot.
