How long does an EV charger installation take?
Most home installs are done in a few hours on the day. The exact time depends on the cable run from the switchboard to where you park and whether the board needs any work first. We confirm the likely timing when we quote, so there are no surprises on the day.
Will my switchboard handle an EV charger?
Often yes, but not always, which is why we check it first. An EV draws heavy current for hours, and some older Brisbane boards are already close to full. We assess the load before installing anything and, if the board needs an upgrade to take the charger safely, we will tell you straight and quote it as part of the job.

Can you install a charger in an apartment or strata car space?
Often yes, with one extra step. The install itself is the same safe, dedicated circuit we fit at a house, but in a unit or strata complex the wiring usually runs off common property, so the body corporate needs to approve the work and the metering first. Tell us where your car space is and we will look at the board feeding it, talk you through what the body corporate will want to see, and quote it on a flat fee.
