Ceiling Fan Installation in Brisbane
Quiet, Steady Airflow For Brisbane's Long Hot Summers
A good ceiling fan is the cheapest comfort you can buy in a Brisbane summer. It moves the air, takes the sting out of a sticky afternoon, and costs cents a day to run, a fraction of what the aircon adds to your power bill. That is the difference between a bedroom you can actually sleep in come February and one you cannot. We supply and install ceiling fans right across the city, from a single bedroom fan to a whole house full, indoors and out on the patio where the entertaining happens, all by a licensed Brisbane sparkie (Electrical Contractor Licence 1503699). If running cost matters, we will point you at a quiet DC-motor fan that sips power, and we will quote it upfront at a fixed price, so the number we tell you is the number on the invoice, with no hidden fees. We test every fan on every speed before we pack up the ute, then back the work with a lifetime workmanship guarantee that stands for as long as you own the home, so there are no surprises after we leave.
If your old fan wobbles, hums, or barely stirs the air, it has earned its retirement. A wobble is the mount or the balance gone loose, and it only gets worse the longer you leave it. We will swap it for something balanced and quiet, mount it to a solid anchor point rather than just the plasterboard, and wire the wall control or remote so it actually does what you want. The whole job is handled by a licensed Brisbane sparkie, start to finish, and you get a flat-fee quote before we start, so there are no surprises.
Ceiling Fan Supply, Install And Replacement
We handle the whole job, not just the bit on the ladder. That means safe wiring back to the circuit, secure mounting to a proper fixing point, balancing so the fan runs true, and a working wall or remote control before we leave. New build, renovation, or a straight swap of a tired old unit, the standard is the same.
We install all the major brands and are happy to talk through the options. If running cost matters to you, ask us about DC-motor fans, which use a fraction of the power of an old AC fan and run noticeably quieter. We will point you at the right fan for the room rather than the dearest one on the shelf.

Signs Your Ceiling Fan Needs Replacing
A wobble is not just annoying, it is a sign the fan is out of balance or the mount has worked loose, and that gets worse over time. A grinding hum usually means a tired motor. And a bedroom that never quite cools down often just needs a properly sized fan moving the air, not a bigger power bill.
A ceiling fan hangs over your head and runs for hours on end, so the install matters as much as the fan. We fix it to a solid anchor point, never just the plasterboard, wire it to standard, and test it under load before we go. If aircon is the bigger comfort fix you are weighing up, we install that too, so you can compare both with one licensed team.
Want a straight price before you commit? We will come out and quote it flat-fee, then you decide.

Got A Question About Ceiling Fans?
Can you replace my old ceiling fan with a new one?
Yes, swapping an old fan for a new one is one of our most common jobs. We remove the old unit, check the mount and wiring, and install your new fan balanced and tested. If the old fixing point is not up to scratch, we will sort that too so the new fan hangs safe.
Are DC ceiling fans worth the extra money?
For most homes, yes. DC fans use a fraction of the power of an older AC fan, run noticeably quieter, and usually come with more speed settings and a remote. They cost a little more upfront, but the lower running cost and the comfort tend to win people over. We are happy to talk through the trade-off for your rooms.
Why does my ceiling fan wobble, and is it dangerous?
A wobble usually means the fan is out of balance or the mount has loosened over time. It is worth fixing because it only gets worse, and a fan works loose at its own pace. We can balance an existing fan or, if it is past its best, replace it on a secure anchor point so it runs smooth.
Can you install a ceiling fan where there isn't one already?
In most cases, yes. We assess the ceiling, the fixing point and the nearest wiring, then run the new circuit and mount the fan to standard. Older Queenslanders and newer builds each have their quirks, so we will give you a straight answer on what is involved before any work starts.
Do you install outdoor or patio ceiling fans?
Yes. Outdoor areas need weather-rated fans built to handle Brisbane’s humidity and the odd bit of wind-driven rain. We will recommend the right model for a covered deck or alfresco and install it safely, so the entertaining area stays comfortable through summer.
Can you install a fan on a raked or high ceiling?
Yes. A raked, sloped or high ceiling just needs the right fittings and a head for heights, both of which we bring. For a sloped ceiling we use an angled mount so the fan hangs true, and for a high ceiling we fit an extension rod so the blades sit at a height that actually moves air over you. We will check the pitch and the fixing point first, then recommend the setup that runs quiet and safe for the room.
